The firearm operates by diverting part of the propellant gases through an opening in the barrel wall (gas system), which features less recoil than an inertia system. The B-link gas system with a rotating bolt head has been modified to provide the fastest possible firing and reloading cycle even with light ammunition. The Beretta 1301 allows up to 4 shots in less than 1 second! It is also worth emphasizing that the system is described by the manufacturer as "self-cleaning", which minimizes jams caused by carbon fouling. The 24" barrel is made of durable Steelium stainless steel, which guarantees performance and accuracy even after firing several thousand rounds. As standard, the shotgun has enlarged controls, i.e. the charging handle, bolt release button and safety. The loading port has also been enlarged and widened, making twin or quad loading (2 or 4 rounds) possible without gunsmith modifications, which are usually carried out by dynamic shooters. The shotgun is fed from a one-piece ultra-light Toni System magazine with a capacity of 10 rounds, and the skeletonized clamp guarantees stability and adequate rigidity. The high-profile Ergal (7075 aluminum alloy) lifter makes loading rounds quickly easier. Thanks to the red color, the magazine status can also be checked instantly. Comfort and control of the firearm are ensured by the rubberized Comfort grip, soft cheek piece, and rubber stock pad, which creates a secure support point and absorbs recoil energy. The stock uses the innovative Kick-Off Plus recoil reduction system based on three elastic pads and a return spring, whose action reduces perceived recoil by up to 40%. This solution significantly increases control and rate of fire. There are 4 threaded holes on the receiver for mounting a Picatinny rail.
