This is a licensed product, available only in-store after telephone confirmation Glock's Generation 6 was designed based on feedback from customers from all over the world, built on real measurements of users' hands and their experience with previous generations. The result is a pistol that feels more natural from the first grip, allows faster return to target, and provides greater control during dynamic shooting. The basis of the G49 design is a full-size Glock 17 slide, which thanks to its length provides a longer sight radius and greater slide mass, resulting in better recoil control and less muzzle rise. In turn, the use of a compact Glock 19 grip reduces the pistol's dimensions, making it more comfortable for everyday carry (EDC). This combination of features makes the Glock 49 gen 6 an excellent all-purpose firearm. Most important changes in Gen 6: Factory undercut trigger guard allows a higher grip, which directly translates into reduced muzzle rise. The trigger shoe also has a flat profile, allowing better control of the shot. The beavertail has been extended to protect the hand from the moving slide. The grip geometry was changed to the so-called palm swell, which significantly improves ergonomics, fills the hand better, and increases comfort during long shooting sessions. A new grip texture made up of numerous small protrusions was used; it provides good traction without excessive aggressiveness. A completely new "direct cut" optic mounting system was introduced; the slide has a direct milling for optics, without intermediary plates. The optic is mounted more securely, lower, and with greater resistance to recoil. The pistol includes specially designed inserts responsible for precise fitment of the red dot sight to the slide, shock absorption, and protection of the mounting screws. The new mounting standard has been optimized for the most popular utility red dot sights, Trijicon RMR and Leupold DeltaPoint Pro. The front slide serrations were improved; the front milling is deeper and tapers upward, creating more aggressive, grippy protrusions. New extractor construction - the extractor is now one integrated assembly, removed using a Glock tool. Extended slide stop protection on the frame - an additional safeguard reduces the risk of accidental slide release during dynamic shooting. The magazine well has been widened to make quick and intuitive reloads easier.
