The CZ 457 LRP was designed with precision shooting at 100 and 200 m in mind, which is why the rifle uses a professional stock that provides an ideal prone position, the ability to make individual adjustments and high stability during the shot. The stock has a matte soft-touch finish and aggressive texturing on the grip and fore-end, increasing control over the rifle. The length of pull can be adjusted using removable stock buttpad spacers (351–382 mm), which also have height adjustment. A support-hand cutout has also been made in the stock, and a rail for mounting a monopod has been installed in the lower part. The manufacturer also did not forget about the use of a vertically adjustable cheekpiece. The carbine has a cold-hammer-forged thick-walled barrel 525 mm long, which guarantees excellent shot consistency and precision as well as great durability. The fluted barrel ends with a 1/2 × 20 thread, on which an efficient compensator is mounted. A new element used in this carbine model is the cocked firing-pin indicator, which makes it easy to quickly check the status of the firearm. Another innovative solution is the convenient bolt removal system, without the need to press the trigger, which significantly speeds up partial disassembly of the firearm. The CZ 457 LRP also uses a MATCH receiver, previously used only in the 457 MTR model. The user also has the option of removing the bolt and unloading the firearm with the safety engaged. The rifles of the CZ 457 family use a new trigger mechanism that allows adjustment of trigger pull weight in the range from 8 to 15 N and trigger travel of 0.5-7 mm. The manufacturer also modernized the firing pin design, whose weight was reduced by almost 60%, resulting in faster ignition and less shock after firing. Users will also appreciate the reduced rotation angle (by 30°) of the bolt handle, which allows comfortable use of scopes with a large eyepiece or low mounting. The carbine is equipped with a Weaver accessory rail with a 25 MOA micro cant, indispensable for shooting at longer distances. The carbine is fed from a detachable magazine with a capacity of 5 rounds. Standard sling swivels (two at the front) allow attachment of a stabilizing sling or bipod.
